sunpass only?

Have you noticed that there's something different with toll lanes lately? (This is like a "Today, in things that have been bothering me" post) I regularly drive to the Keys and just got back from a long long drive through our really-boring state to Alabama, and there's something fishy going on. Apparently they take "no cash," as in Sunpass only. This got me thinking, "But what if you don't have a Sunpass," "They mail you a ticket from your license plate?" and on and on and on.
I did a little investigating, and all I found was in the Palm Beach Post (so I guess no one but me cares about this).   They're definitely cutting down human jobs and replacing them with machines, but I'll miss that few seconds exchange with the human toll collectors.
