the gumbo limbo, bursera simaruba, or tourist tree is that red barked tree that literally peels like a tourist in Florida. Gumbo-limbos are natural air fresheners and are one of the most resistant trees to wind, which makes them ideal for hurricane season (we're already on B), and here's another fun fact, they are the bark that is most commonly used to make carousel horses.
