gables restaurant week

today, June 7, marks the first day of Coral Gables Restaurant Week (which is kind of a stupid name because it's more than a week). I've been warned by a friend that some of the pre-frix menus don't actually turn out to be deals so take a look at the menus on the website, but generally I'm a big fan of restaurant weeks for trying new places.

Here are my picks:
Ortanique on the Mile (looks straight out of The Lady in the Tutti Frutti Hat *see below)
Bankok Bankok (you get to sit on the floor)
Randazzo's (my dad swears these are the best meatballs in Miami)
