back & forth: finally, a lifestyle stores comes to coral gables

Back & Forth is supposed to be for men, but I've already bought a t-shirt (by local brand Spilled Milk) and a pair of track pants that made for the perfect airport gear. That speaks to the nice vibe, it's the kind of place that makes you want to buy something, to be a part of the vision - of a crisp and colorful Miami, where style isn't overdone but it's still fun, and to the strategic merchandising.

Located on Almeria, right next to Gables Juice Bar and across from our favorite coffee shop, Cafe Curuba (now House of Per’La), it's tucked away enough that you have to go find it but easy enough (yes, there's always parking!) to pop in whenever you're in the neighborhood. For me, that means always, because I live just blocks away - which is a scary thought given that they've been open no more than a few weeks and my house already has four items (I didn't mention before that my husband - who usually buys the same button downs from hm.com over and over, has found two shirts that are now in the regular laundry rotation).

Find yourself your new everyday staples (surely with a more stylish twist that than same shirt that's become your go-to) or invest in a new travel wardrobe like I did. Sure, it's supposed to be a men's lifestyle boutique but everyone is welcome - including your pup, they have a dope selection of leashes.
