it appears that this year Miami has been touched by what was a previously a mythical figure, something spoken of but never seen, at least around here - Spring.

Instead of a nor'easter, we're getting perfect convertible weather, and did I mention I have a brand new 2015 Mazda Miata? Merry Christmas to me. So we popped in the car and went for a good, old-fashioned Sunday drive to carpe diem the shit outta this weather.

Where did we wind up? Across the Julia Tuttle, up Alton Road, at Le Zoo at Bal Harbor Shops - where I knew I could find a quick Aperol Spritz and a dog-friendly outdoor seating area. Add a cold beer and a salmon tartare and we had two happy humans and one happy Pekingese rescue dog on a spring Sunday.
