If you haven't been the The Barnacle, you should check out their events calendar and check out one of the very nice, homey events that they host in this particularly beautiful and preserved little bit of Coconut Grove. I went for the Hitchcock Festival a while back where they project the film outside and you sit on the lawn with a picnic. I picked up Choices' Mentil Lentil wrap (a vegan wrap I order everytime I go there because I can't resist a combination of beets, plantains and balck beans ever) and some champagne and we sat way in the back so we could talk the whole time and I recommend you do the same.
