Gator Bites

this helmut newton photo seemed like a good excuse to talk about the alligator bites on the menu at Lokal and Kush (by the way, if this is a crocodile, sue me! I just wanted to post this amazing image.). 

The gator bites at Kush and Lokal are really good, the perfect appetizer to split with the table, especially if conversation is going a little slow because ordering this exotic meat is sure-fire small talk fodder. 

If you're feeling adventurous, you can find gator to make at home at Norman Brothers. Once, for a Canes vs Gators football game my genius of a boyfriend bought some for a tailgate. Get it?
