design miami in two minutes

design Miami, the sister fair the the official Basel in the Miami Beach Convention Center, is maybe the most manageable of the many, many, many, (how many many's can we fit here?) events of the Basel calendar - it's not that the parking is any easier, or cheaper - it's not - but these objects, mostly furniture and jewelry are easier to wrap my head around. 

Call me simple minded, but I walk around imagining what room a painting would look best in (yes, the answer is sometimes the bathroom.) and sometimes the stuff is just too strange for any living room. Furniture on the other hand, can almost always fit into my imagination. Especially when the chairs and tables are this nice:
