hobie Beach, the strip of parking and waterfront along the Rickenbacker en route to the Key (yeah, it has a name!), may be most memorable for playing host to high school debaucheries that your parent's wouldn't have allowed under their roof. Miami teens (or was that just us?!) take to Hobie Beach for late night beer guzzling etcetera. If you're a Miami resident between the ages of 15-8 then party on!

If you can freely purchase beer, one, we hope you're drinking better quality than what does down at Hobie, two, your dog will probably love this place.

This is the only beach in Miami that freely lets you bring along your pup for a day on the beach.

We took the miami nice resident mutt to "research" with a view of the city skyline on a Saturday morning.

Here's a little photo diary:

these mini snails, smaller than a pinkie finger nail, were absolutely everywhere along the shoreline.

there's no way this metal-detector tower didn't find a million dollar treasure

this would be Patricia, miami nice editor and founder, with Roo, miami nice mascot and freak-dog

we told you he was a freak dog

the day couldn't get any better, until this guy showed up. one orange creamsicle and one cookies n' cream on-a-stick. por favor.
