walmart in midtown?

here's an issue that is easier to get behind than any of our candidates for president. No Walmart in Midtown.
While Walmart has super cheap camping tents and is open late for strange DVD browsing, it sucks the life out of small businesses and would drain this already identity-crisis-ridden area of the hard work it's put into attracting independent businesses like Gigi's (this would be a real issue for my belly, and Gigi is basically open as late as Walmart so you can just go there instead) (it's also worth noting that the owner of Gigi is a supporter of the Walmart in the area), Sustain, 100 Montaditos and Party City (just kidding about that one).
