vanity fair hearts havana and hemingway
for the second month running Vanity Fair has run an article all about Cuba. Has anyone scanned their masthead for a Garcia, Gonzalez or Gomez?
This month Vanity Fair's obsession with the Paris of the Caribbean is manifested in a Hemingway manifesto, or at least the story of one house, one manifesto and a bunch of hard-on for Hemingway academics all in Havana 2011. It's the story of Hemingway's house, an untouched museum, as preserved by the current Cuban government and the sweet salsa dancing around the access officials to read some long, lost documents in the signature Hemingway scribble.
