the Goombay Festival has been in full swing this weekend, so if you've encountered blocked-off streets in the Grove with blaring music and delicious but mysterious smells, here's your explanation.

There's not much on The Herald's site about this years Goombay, but they do call it the world's biggest "Stepping" festival. They suggest you head over to the Coconut Grove Grapevine for more information. Basically the Goombay Festival is a celebration of " the sites and sounds of the Bahamas to the Grove."
