didion does warehouse
i've been on a heavy Joan Didon spree lately, partially assigned, partially personal. If you aren't familiar with Joan Didion, wikipedia her, drive to Books & Books, Google away, but read some Didion, she's a great writer, prolific (so there's bound to be something that interests you) and wrote an entire book about Miami in the 80's, but more on that later.
I came across this excerpt in her essay Slouching Towards Bethlehem and had to share to rekindle some of our fond memories from the miami nice at Warehouse pop up party.
"The Warehouse was conceived as total theater, a continual happening, and I always feel good there. What happened ten minutes ago or what is going to happen half an hour from now tends to fade from mind in the Warehouse."
