we resort to this
we have a problem, my fellow Miamians. People here wear very little clothing, and who can blame us? At nearly a hundred percent humidity everyday I sometimes wonder why we wear clothes (or have hair) at all. This leaves us in quite a fashion predicament. Half of the runway shows each year are totally irrelevant to us. Our closets look unlike the rest of the country. We only need coats for ski vacations, and the thickest layer of clothing we need is some kind of sweatshirt equivalent. That rules out most of the fall collections, pre-fall, and most of the spring collections; which is basically everything. Luckily, there is only fashion season that we can relate to: resort.
For everyone else, resort collections mean splurgy vacation clothes, but to us, they make sense year-round. That's why it's exciting when clothes this lovely popped up in Chanel's resort collection.
