i cannot even begin to tell you how much i love shake shack. I don't mean like "Oh, the vanilla iced coffee at McDonalds is so good love" (which it is), or even "I love electricity." I would give up electricity for Shake Shack. I considered writing that I love Shake Shack so much that I would give up air conditioning in the summer in Miami, but then I realized that was probably a lie. But I love Shake Shack enough to even consider that. So, you can imagine my excitement when I heard they were opening a Lincoln Road location.

Lincoln Road location as of June 11th

Shake Shack has been a staple on the world burger scene as long as it's been a little shack in Madison Square Park in New York. In the summer the lines wrap half way around a city block, but the real trick is to go in torrential downpour or sub-zero temperatures when there's no line (I'm giving away all my secrets here because I'm assuming they'll transfer to the Miami location too). You can check the line online at ShakeShack.com on the ShackCam , a live feed of the line.

What to order at the world's most delicious burger place? For a first timer, you've gotta go with the Shack Stack; that's a burger patty, a fried portobello mushroom filled with three different cheeses, Shack sauce, and lettuce and tomato. For the vegetarians, you can get the Shroom Burger, which is just the mushroom. And, you've gotta get a Shake, of course. I recommend the black and white, a little bit of both chocolate and vanilla- the best of both worlds. Every month they have seven special shakes, one for each day. Past special shakes have included Flan, Pumpkin Spice, Red Velvet, and Grasshopper.
The only thing sad about Shake Shack opening in Miami is that it loses a little bit of the novelty of being a New York-only place, but considering that they're opening locations only in Miami and Dubai it's still pretty exotic I guess, and I'm lucky to have it in both my home cities.
